To run my newly installed QuickVerse Bible Premier software, I just need to go to Start —> All Programs –> Quickverse (year) –> Quickverse (year).

I’m asked to register with the options to Register QuickVerse Now, or Register QuickVerse Later and OK. I selected to Register QuickVerse Now.

The registration window is just a simple form asking for your name, company, address, country, telephone number, and fax number. The buttons are Register and Later. I filled out the form and clicked on Register. I got an error message telling me to select a state even though Mexico and its states are Not on the list. I was told to register later when a selected option didn’t work. The Registration window closed and the main application opened.

I next see the QuickVerse Bible application window with a smaller window in front. The smaller window asked me to import annotations from previously installed versions. Since I had never installed previous versions on my computer, I clicked on Cancel.

The next pop-up window is the preferences window. Here I get to select via menus my default Bible, default Bible Dictionary, etc. Although I didn’t see my Favorite Bible, the NASB, I do see several good versions to choose from including the similar American Standard Version and the Reina Valera version which is in Spanish. (Did I mention that I live in Mexico?). I decided on the ASV as my default Bible. There are 10 different Bible versions to choose from as well as 6 Bible dictionaries.

There are OK and Cancel buttons at the bottom of the window, but before I select OK, I notice that the window has more tabs to set more preferences.

The following tab is called View. The View tab lets you select Text color, Background color, Jesus’s words color, Verse Link color, Strong’s Link color, Media Link color, and Glossary Link color. You could for example have a black background with white text, or a gray background with yellow text. The colors default to a white background with a black text, red Jesus’s words, and blue links.

The next tab is called Link Preferences. In this tab, you can select if you want to have the links open in the same book, new book, or as a pop-up window. The rest of the tabs are for internet features like adding a web dictionary or an RSS feed. Select Ok to close the preferences window.

If you want to change your default Bible or other settings you select the Options menu then Preferences.
